The NERVE Center hosts a speaker series featuring influential people in robotics and offers short courses. Registration is open to all. All NERVE Center members get one free ticket to each event, and Principal Members get an additional free ticket. We also host a bi-annual open house and social event, open to all and free of charge.

IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, Boston Chapter Talk: SSCI

The IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, Boston Chapter, will be hosting an invited talk from SSCI at the UMass Lowell NERVE Center. The talk, "High Speed Reactive Obstacle Avoidance and Aperture Traversal Using a Monocular Camera," will focus on developments in unmanned aerial vehicle technology to autonomously navigate and avoid obstacles. The talk will be given by Dr. N. Andrew Browning from SSCI. Attendance is free and open to the public.

2017 NAO User and Developer Congress

September 21-22, 2017

The second annual NAO User and Develop Congress will be held at the UMass Lowell NERVE Center. The event is designed to bring together the latest in worldwide NAO robot applications, technologies, software, tools, and behavior use cases. Key presentations by the world's leading NAO software specialists and researchers will be featured, and a special update from SoftBank Robotics on the "State of NAO in 2017."
